Discover Your Unique Harmony In Nature

Joan Kosmachuk

It all begins with you.

Your body, your energy, your personality, your spirit and your coloration are all anchored in nature. When I work with you, one of the ways I confirm your Season (or particular expression of that Season) is to look for that anchoring in nature. Suzanne Caygill taught that most often women will find they relate to flora and fauna, while most men will find an affinity with minerals from the earth.

There’s a depth to this process.

When I select a flower for a client, it’s not about just making a pretty collage, it’s about looking for that deeper connection. It’s about finding the shapes and lines that relate to the shapes and lines in the face. It’s about matching the complexity, the color quality, the personality and the energy of the person.

We each have many connections.

It might start with finding that perfect flower and then it can expand to include other aspects from nature where one might find an affinity to oneself. Birds, animals, landscapes…the possibilities for finding these connections are limitless.

Nature is not finite.

Nature expands as it creates and we are each part of this expansion. True Seasonal Analysis is limitless. Think of all the moments, in all of the seasons, in all of the world, in all of time. That’s how many seasonal variations there are — and there are more moments and variations yet to come. So there are no pre-determined boxes or categories when it comes to the way a person connects to and expresses their Season — nature makes this so very clear for us.

There are many things to explore.

It is a fascinating study to look for your specific palette colors in nature. Where might you find your skin tone, your eye or hair color? And is your version of Spring, for example, found in North America or South America? Europe or Africa?

In discovering, through Nature’s harmonies, color as a key to self, we find a way of understanding exactly who we are, a way of getting outside of personal rigidities to connect with those energies that permit us to be ourselves. The more we can accept the colorful messages in the rhythms of the universe, the more authentic we become as persons, the more pleasure we derive for ourselves, and the more we give to others.
